About The Position

The Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated entry-level candidates who aspire to achieve their leadership potential. This is accomplished through challenging and rewarding rotational assignments, technical and leadership training, advanced education, leadership opportunities and exposure, and mentorship. The program consists of three, one-year rotations, each with increasing responsibility, designed to provide a diverse set of experiences within the Finance function. FLDP participants are also exposed to a variety of networking opportunities and strategic project initiatives. The program provides flexibility for participants to have input on their second and third rotational assignments and/or geographic location. Participants are required to complete a graduate degree on a part-time basis, with BAE Systems providing tuition assistance. The first rotation will be at the Endicott, NY location, with subsequent rotations potentially at any of our nationwide locations. A mentor is assigned to each participant to provide guidance. The program also includes an annual, week-long leadership development conference (LDC) for personalized leadership training and networking. The FLDP is a three-year rotational program designed to develop high potential, entry-level individuals into future leaders, with opportunities to experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups nationwide. This role will be a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Applicants must either be a resident of the greater Endicott, NY area, or willing to relocate to the area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a business-related focus
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and work at various sites
  • Superior communication skills
  • Achievement in non-academic pursuits such as athletics, clubs and organizations, special projects, military service, and prior work experience
  • Capacity and motivation for hard work
  • Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Gain diverse experience within the Finance function through three one-year rotations with increasing responsibility.
