As a Finance Lead within PNC's Retail Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH or Birmingham AL. This role in Retail Finance will support our Premier Client segment, a newly launched segment under our PNC Wealth Management (PNCWM) organization. This critical role within the PNC Wealth Management Finance team (under the Retail Finance organization) is integral to supporting the PNCWM business segment and the Premier Client segment. The primary responsibility for this role is to take full ownership of the financial analysis and reporting that drives PNC’s holistic approach to banking and investing for the Premier Client segment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong professionalism and accountability by continuing to develop existing financial hierarchies, budgeting and forecasting, reporting financial results, and delivering valuable insights across deposit, lending and investment products. In addition, there may be occasions where support for the legacy PNCWM business is needed. Success in this position requires independent thinking, process leadership, and the ability to build trusteed relationships with line of business partners and across the Retail Finance Team. The individual will be expected to interact with executive leadership regularly, ensuring informed decision-making.   • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Specific certifications are often required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and leads preparation of timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with business unit leaders to produce timely and precise revenue, expense, and staffing forecasts.
  • Develops strategic insights from data to enhance budget and forecast accuracy.
  • Serves as a senior expert for the team.
  • Leads annual budget cycle and continuous monthly forecasting.
  • Leads development of long term strategic plans.
  • Presents business leaders and executives with key financial forecasts, metric-driven performance dashboards, and strategic business insights.
  • Performs on-demand analysis and generates custom reports to address specific business needs.
  • Collaborates independently with the business on implementation and compliance of new accounting and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitates audit, regulatory, and investor requests by providing timely and accurate information.
  • May communicate directly with external constituents.
  • Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes.
  • May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business.
  • Demonstrates executive presence and the ability to effectively communicate directly with senior leaders and influence colleagues across all organization levels.
  • Cultivates partnerships with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment and shared success.
