Finance / IT Netsuite Manager

The NetSuite IT Finance & Accounting Support Manager serves as the primary systems resource for the Finance and Accounting team, bridging the gap between IT and finance operations. This role owns the day-to-day administration, optimization, and reporting capabilities of NetSuite for the finance function — ensuring the system supports accurate, efficient, and scalable financial operations. The ideal candidate combines technical NetSuite expertise with a solid understanding of accounting workflows (close process, AP/AR, revenue recognition, fixed assets, etc.) to translate finance team needs into system solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, accounting preferred, minor in Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience administering or supporting NetSuite, ideally within a finance/accounting environment
- NetSuite certification(s) (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, SuiteFoundation)
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and the general ledger close process
- Experience supporting SOX compliance or internal controls environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance team's primary point of contact for NetSuite-related issues, questions, and enhancement requests
- Help develop an AI roadmap for the finance department and work on the roll out of the identified AI functionality
- Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies to reduce manual work and close-cycle time
- Support the Controller/Assistant Controller with ad hoc reporting and data extracts for month-end close, audits, budgeting, and forecasting
- Assist with developing system controls to support the rollout of audit / SOX requirements
- Maintain saved searches, custom fields, workflows, and dashboards used by the finance team
- Evaluate current finance workflows within NetSuite and recommend automation opportunities (e.g., approval workflows, recurring journal entries, bill/invoice automation)
- Assist with system integrations between NetSuite and other business tools (e.g., expense management, payroll, banking, accounts payable platforms)
- Develop and document standardized reporting templates to improve consistency and reduce manual reporting effort
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial reports through regular reconciliation and validation
- Train finance and accounting staff on NetSuite functionality, reports, and best practices
- Participate in NetSuite implementation, upgrade, or module rollout projects as the finance-side subject matter expert
- Partner with corporate IT/NetSuite administrators on system upgrades, integrations, and change management
