About The Position

Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position is designed for students or recent graduates who are eager to develop their financial acumen, analytical skills, and business understanding within a global chemical company. The Finance Intern will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, assisting with management reporting, and contributing to financial planning and analysis activities. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to experience the intersection of corporate finance, accounting, and business strategy in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy across general ledger accounts.
  • Compile and interpret financial data to support management decision-making.
  • Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Collect and analyze operating and capital expenditure data from various departments.
  • Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, invoice tracking, and payment reconciliations.
  • Participate in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.
  • Support compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls.
  • Conduct research on industry benchmarks, market trends, and competitor performance.
  • Identify potential areas of cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure financial insights align with company goals.
  • Present findings and reports to senior team members in a clear, structured manner.
