About The Position

Penguin Random House is seeking an Intern to join their Global Finance and Strategy teams. This is a fast-paced, collaborative team that works closely with the CEO of Penguin Random House on a broad range of strategic and operational topics. The ideal candidate should be interested in a corporate financial, strategy or an analytical role. The internship offers exposure to the publishing process and business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series.

Requirements

  • Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028
  • Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
  • Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027
  • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Must have strong organization, communication and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of PowerBI

  • Expected bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating a business analysis
  • Outlining problems, including opportunities and solutions
  • Budgeting, and forecasting
  • Planning, and monitoring
  • Performing variance analyses
  • Developing account reconciliations
  • Data compilation and analyses ensuring accuracy
  • Preparing special projects
