About The Position

The Finance Organization drives business value by being a strategic partner in every decision made in support of the Company’s success. We bring a powerful combination of financial expertise, a deep understanding of complex analytics, a thorough knowledge of the risk environment, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity. The internship will be a general Finance internship that will provide opportunities to work in the Controllership function of American Express Finance. This position will be based in Salt Lake City, UT.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program
• Students must have a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

Responsibilities

• Providing best-in-class analysis and decision support to the Finance organization
• Learning how to articulate decisions clearly and gain buy-in from stakeholders across the business
• Gathering and analyzing information from a wide array of sources; identifying trends and articulating how those trends impact our business
• Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs
• Honing analytical acumen, communication skills, and the ability to tailor complex messages to the appropriate audience
• Participate in other initiatives and support the Controllership organization as assigned.
