About The Position
The Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) division at American Express is responsible for making critical credit and fraud risk decisions to ensure operational excellence, drive growth, and foster innovation. CFR leverages technology and advanced computing techniques for enhanced risk assessment and real-time customer interactions. Within CFR, the Commercial Rating and Underwriting (CRU) team is essential for evaluating and managing institutional exposures across all global business areas. CRU determines internal credit ratings, calculates the probability and loss given default for obligors, and underwrites card programs, adhering to high global banking standards set by the Federal Reserve. Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and managing the risk of institutional exposures across all business areas of American Express.
- Determining the internal credit rating which drives the probability of default of each exposure.
- Calculating the loss given default of these obligors.
- Underwriting card programs.
