About The Position

As our Finance Intern, you will support the Finance team by assisting with daily financial operations, reporting, analysis, and special projects while gaining practical experience in a manufacturing environment. This internship offers exposure to multiple areas of corporate finance, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and operational finance. The intern will report to our Director of Finance and work alongside finance professionals to develop technical, analytical, and business skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support company objectives.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Interest in corporate finance, manufacturing, accounting, or financial analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel functions such as PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and charts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Assist with cost accounting activities, including inventory, labor, and manufacturing cost analysis.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with KPI reporting and financial dashboards.
  • Participate in inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Assist with special projects involving finance, accounting, operations, and business analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Human Resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
