The company is seeking a part-time Finance Intern to support the Mason & Hanger Finance team in Glen Allen, VA. This role involves completing analyses and reporting related to business operations, with a focus on forecasting, period close responsibilities, revenue/cost analysis, trending data, identifying AI use cases within Finance, reconciling Power BI dashboards, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

Current enrollment in a college or university
Analytical skills
Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to obtain information for diagnosing problems quickly and effectively
Self-motivated individual who takes both initiative and accepts responsibility for actions (i.e. thinking and going beyond the current assigned tasks)
Great attitude and team player
Successful completion of background and drug screening process

Responsibilities

Provide support in forecasting and period close responsibilities including, but not limited to, report preparation and revenue/cost analysis
Trending data for reporting and analysis
Working with the team to identify proof of concepts / prototypes for AI use cases within the Finance organization
Identify and reconcile discrepancies in the financial reporting of Power BI dashboards
Ad hoc financial analysis and projects
