Primary Purpose Our internship program at Generac is designed to give students a chance to develop their business and technical skills by assisting with ongoing and project related activities within our accounting department. This internship will introduce the candidate to the Shared Services accounting functions – including Accounts Payable, Cash application, and/or Credit Memos. In addition, the candidate will support various “continuous improvement” projects. The position is a full-time summer internship with extension to part time status during the school year. The position is a parttime (approx. 15 hours/week), academic year internship position with an immediate start date that will extend into a fulltime internship during the summer break.

Requirements

Education Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s program with an emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Microsoft Excel experience.
Conscientious, self-motivated worker with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a group setting
Dependable and organized

Nice To Haves

Education Sophomore year status or higher
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands requiring initiative and independence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
