Finance & Insurance (F&I) Professional

Barber Ford IncHolland, MI

About The Position

Barber Ford is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Finance & Insurance (F&I) professional to join our team. This position plays an important role in completing the vehicle purchase experience by assisting customers with financing options, protection products, required documentation, and final delivery paperwork. This position reports to the F&I Manager and works alongside a partner F&I professional. While this role may have a primary focus on New Vehicle F&I, proficiency in both new and pre-owned transactions is required. Our F&I team works collaboratively and provides coverage for one another during scheduled days off, vacations, and other absences. The ideal candidate can balance strong financial performance with accuracy, compliance, transparency, and an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, works collaboratively, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and understands that long-term customer relationships are more important than maximizing the profitability of a single transaction. Barber Ford prides itself on an exceptionally low rate of post-sale product cancellations. We believe this is a direct result of our commitment to transparency and to offering high-quality products based on each customer's individual needs. Our goal is not simply to sell a product during the F&I process. We want customers to understand what they are purchasing, recognize its value, and remain confident in their decision after they leave the dealership. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold this philosophy by presenting products accurately and transparently, identifying products that provide genuine value to the individual customer, and avoiding high-pressure or misleading sales practices.
