About The Position

The Finance Information Systems Analyst at Jewelers Mutual serves as a key partner to Accounting, Finance, and Technology teams by supporting and enhancing financial systems that enable accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strong data integrity. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, maintaining finance-related applications, troubleshooting system issues, and helping drive continuous improvement across financial operations. The position combines accounting knowledge, systems expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial technology solutions align with business objectives and operational requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related business field.
  • 3 years of combined experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial information systems support.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with major financial software (e.g., Oracle) and foundational knowledge of master data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, cross-functional communication, and the ability to bridge complex accounting rules with technical architecture.
  • Certifications: Accounting: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
  • Certifications: Systems: Certifications specific to platform architecture (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Certification, CFSP)

Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure financial system modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Budgeting) to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by translating business needs into technical solutions, while providing end-user training and ongoing system support.
  • Analyze financial workflows to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and recommend system enhancements or automation opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and automated tools to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Maintain integrations between financial systems and third-party applications, ensuring data accuracy, security, and appropriate user access controls.
