About The Position

While working directly with the Finance/Accounting department, this position will be exposed to all many functions within a manufacturing plant. This exposure will primarily be in maintaining costs within the system, managing vendor master data, counting/tracking fixed assets, and learning how to report costs and review them with operations. This role contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Assisting with fixed asset counts, tracking progress, and reconciling results to the official ledger
  • Assisting with data preparation for budgeting purposes
  • Coordinating with accounting manager, controller, and operations on sending out key reports and assisting with approval documentation
  • Learning to provide commentary around variances to standard costs
  • Assisting in the preparation of a monthly checklist of department tasks

Responsibilities

  • Updating bills of material and machine routings as requested
  • Sets up and maintains standard costs in the ERP system (JDE)

  • Assist in the preparation of Maintains and improves a monthly checklist of department tasks, continuing to add list robustness
