About The Position

The Finance Business Technology Analyst acts as the de facto Finance solution lead for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) domains, ensuring Finance requirements are well defined, testable, auditable, and adoption-ready while delivery remains owned by Technology. The role is accountable for Finance functional outcomes, acceptance, and evidence, while SAP configuration, security provisioning, and technical delivery remain the responsibility of Technology teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in commerce or computer science
  • Any accounting certifications
  • Any Business Analyst or Project management certifications
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA ERP processes (e.g., O2C, R2R, Payments).
  • At least 1 year of experience working within SAP AMS sustainment and incident/problem management models.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with requirements definition, UAT execution, and test evidence management.
  • Understanding of Finance controls, ITGCs, and audit requirements (e.g., 52-109).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Technology, and third-party vendors.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Convert Finance needs into SAP-ready requirements/user stories with clear acceptance criteria, impacts (posting/data/reporting), and control considerations.
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from objective → requirements → testing → control impacts → release documentation, including cross-stream dependencies.
  • Support release readiness from a Finance perspective by validating expected postings, reconciliations, reports, and control outcomes prior to deployment, and by confirming Finance readiness for releases, refreshes, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Provide advisory input to release and cutover activities without owning configuration, transport approvals, or technical execution.
  • Lead Finance-side UAT (scenarios/scripts, stakeholder coordination) and retain audit-ready evidence for incidents, defects, enhancements, and releases.
  • Define and validate expected SAP postings/reconciliations/outputs during testing and post-release.
  • Support Finance-facing functional documentation and test assets (scripts/evidence) to support sustainment and audit needs.
  • Provide Finance ownership of incident, problem, and defect impact assessment, including validation of business severity, prioritization input, and confirmation that Finance requirements and control expectations are met prior to closure.
  • Act as the primary Finance point of contact during incidents and defects, supporting root cause analysis from a business process and data integrity perspective and confirming resolution effectiveness post implementation.
  • Partner with BPO, TPM (IDD) and AMS to clarify requirements, assess feasibility, support defect triage, and preserve Finance intent through delivery.
  • Participate in incident/problem/defect management (business impact, root-cause support, progress monitoring) and provide Finance input to backlog prioritization and service review forums.
  • Support release readiness (releases, refreshes, DR testing, downtime) and document control/security/access impacts with mitigations—providing advisory input without owning configuration/provisioning/transports.
  • Provide active oversight of cross stream dependencies across Finance, Procurement, Tax, and Data & Reporting.
