About The Position

The Finance Business Partner, Shared Services serves as a key finance partner for Shared Services, providing centralized support, expertise, and coordination across network operations and finance functions. Shared Services represents 15% of the total FTEs and more than $500 million in expenses across the UVMH network. The role assists the System VP and SVP with centralized financial oversight of Shared Services areas, workflow priorities, the annual budget, monthly monitoring, project status, and execution of strategic and operational initiatives.

The position provides guidance, training, mentoring, project leadership, and subject-matter expertise to Shared Services leaders and team members. In collaboration with the System VP, SVP, and Shared Services leaders, the Finance Business Partner assesses resource needs, develops analytical insights, and supports strategic decisions through financial modeling, business case development, and evaluation of Shared Services support structures.

The role also provides consultative support to network and partner Shared Services departments through financial analysis, performance reporting, benchmarking, and actionable recommendations. It leads and supports complex, high-impact, cross-functional initiatives, including the SS Co500/Org 1000 initiative, and manages support for the Shared Services Network Position Review Group (NPRG) committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of related experience demonstrating expertise in healthcare finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting operational and strategic decision-making within a healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support complex, high-impact, cross-functional initiatives, including the SS Co500/Org 1000 initiative, and ensure effective planning, execution, and communication of project outcomes.
• Manage support for the Shared Services Network Position Review Group (NPRG) committee.
