About The Position

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for its Finance team to work with NBT teammates and other partners to align, optimize, and deliver a fully functional ERP/MES solution to Nucor's Sheet, Plate and Structural Mills. This is a full-time position with Nucor Business Technology, based in Irving, TX. Project-related overnight travel as needed, up to 50%. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Business Technology (NBT) will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close and GAAP

Nice To Haves

MBA, CPA, or CMA
Public or corporate accounting experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Oracle EBS and/or PSI
Relocation to the Dallas area

Responsibilities

Understand month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting financial analyses to help support the divisions
Have proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations, identify and resolve reconciling items, and collaborate with divisions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Have a strong understanding of General Ledger accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
Support division internal and external audits by assisting with audit requests, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
