About The Position

Shields Auto Center is seeking an experienced Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the final stage of the sales process. You will work with lenders to secure financing for our guests while presenting a comprehensive menu of aftermarket products designed to protect their investment. We are looking for a professional who can maintain high “per-vehicle retailed” (PVR) averages while ensuring 100% compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive F&I Manager (Required).
  • Proven track record of high PVR and product penetration.
  • Deep understanding of credit reports and the ability to “sell” a deal to a lender.
  • Proficiency with dealership DMS and F&I software (e.g., RouteOne, Autosoft, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, or CDK).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Professional appearance and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to commute to Rantoul, IL.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Structuring: Work closely with the Sales Department to structure deals that meet customer needs while maximizing dealership profit.
  • Lender Relations: Maintain strong relationships with a variety of prime and sub-prime lenders to secure the best possible rates and terms for our guests.
  • Menu Presentation: Present a 100% menu to every customer, explaining the benefits of service contracts, GAP insurance, and other protective products.
  • Compliance: Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and in total compliance with legal requirements and dealership policies.
  • CIT Management: Monitor and manage Contracts-In-Transit to ensure the dealership is funded quickly and efficiently.
  • Training: Assist in the ongoing training of the Sales Team regarding finance products and proper turnover procedures.
