About The Position

Responsible for leading a team that performs a range of accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. This role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial reports, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Finance and Accounting Manager develops processes and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting operations. The position collaborates extensively with cross-functional stakeholders and provides guidance, coaching, and performance management for team members.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced reporting tools.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing accounting teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Project management skills to drive improvements and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial processes.
  • Effective communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders across functions.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing accounting operations and implementing process improvements.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

  • CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure timely reporting.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and tools, and lead related initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with finance and business partners to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes as needed.
