This internship serves as the primary pipeline into Brunswick's Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP), a rotational early-career program that develops future finance leaders through diverse functional experiences, leadership development, mentorship, and exposure to senior leadership. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Available full-time (40 hours per week) from June through August 2027.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, co-op, leadership, or relevant work experience.
  • Coursework or experience in accounting, corporate finance, financial analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to ERP, planning, reporting, or financial systems.
  • Leadership involvement through student organizations, athletics, volunteer activities, academic projects, or community engagement.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in corporate finance and future leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact finance and accounting projects from initial scope through final presentation, delivering recommendations that support key business objectives.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and drivers of business performance.
  • Develop financial models, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with finance, accounting, and business leaders to evaluate opportunities, solve business challenges, and influence decision-making.
  • Present project updates and deliver a final presentation highlighting project outcomes, insights, and recommendations to finance and business leaders.
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and decision-making.
  • Participate in professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities throughout the internship experience.
