The analyst will be the key member of our cost planning team, providing essential linkage between various manufacturing site controllers and BU controllers and corporate FP&A team. The main responsibility of the analyst is to participate in onsemi’s monthly financial forecasting process and provide key elements of gross margin forecast.

  • Assist with forecast consolidation activities and ad hoc financial modeling
  • Partner with site controllers, Supply Chain, and Business Unit Finance
  • Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Provide guidance and improvement ideas / trainings to site finance teams
  • Assist in strategic technology P&L roll up and sharing of information with businesses
  • Support NPD costing process

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute weekly financial tracking reports covering revenue shipments, earned value, scrap, foreign exchange risk & opportunity, capital expenditure payments, and site-level inventory roll forwards.
  • Analyze manufacturing financial performance against plan targets (AOP/BOQ/EOQ) and highlight key variances and trends for management review.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries across multiple manufacturing sites, including accruals, asset retirement obligations, inventory adjustments, and insurance allocations.
  • Coordinate the upload of cost details into enterprise planning systems to ensure accurate tracking and alignment with month-end close requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly close reports including days-of-inventory analysis, scrap reporting, overtime cost summaries, and journal entry reconciliations.
  • Support quarterly forecast cycles (BOQ/EOQ/AOP) by coordinating with BU Finance and site teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and prepare scrap forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Assist with forecast consolidation activities and ad hoc financial modeling as needed during planning cycles.
  • Partner with site controllers, Supply Chain, and Business Unit Finance to resolve data discrepancies, confirm forecast targets, and ensure consistency across reporting platforms.
  • Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining reporting workflows and reducing manual effort
  • Provide guidance and improvement ideas / trainings to site finance teams to improve efficiency
  • Assist in strategic technology P&L roll up and sharing of information with businesses
  • Support NPD costing process
