About The Position

Sparkfund is seeking a Finance Analyst responsible for building and maintaining programmatic pricing models used to structure and price deals. • Strong technical modeling skills, including building, auditing, and troubleshooting complex Excel models from scratch
  • Working knowledge of DCF analysis, capital stack construction (debt, equity, mezzanine), and discount rate and cost of capital concepts, with fluency in IRR, NPV, and other return metrics used to evaluate deal economics
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort validating assumptions across multiple sources
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate model output for people who don't work in finance
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Partner with Business Development, Program, and Project teams to source the cost, revenue, timing, and financing assumptions that feed pricing models
  • Validate assumptions against underlying source data and flag discrepancies before they reach a pricing output
  • Translate model outputs into terms non-finance stakeholders can use to structure and negotiate deals
