About The Position

The Finance Analyst will manage operating expenses, capex, and headcount for budget, forecast, and actuals. This role involves preparing monthly and quarterly variance analysis, providing business partnership support to leadership, and developing detailed financial forecasts. The analyst will also publish reports to executives, collaborate with the Accounting team on journal entries and accruals, and partner with Marketing on Opex forecasts. Additionally, the role includes overseeing purchase order creation and approval, maintaining Tableau dashboards, and participating in ad hoc financial analysis projects.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of FP&A related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and logical functions
  • Fluent understanding of journal entries (debit/credit) and accounting rules
  • Unparalleled sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information
  • Strong business and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, stay organized, and prioritize deadlines
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or experience in Marketing/GTM strategy finance
  • Experience with ERP/Planning Systems such as Adaptive Planning or NetSuite
  • Experience with Coupa, Salesforce, Tableau, or Google docs
  • Experience working in a high growth IT systems or networking organization

Responsibilities

  • Manage operating expenses, capex, and headcount for budget, forecast, and actuals.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis to identify and explain significant variances to budget.
  • Work closely with leadership to provide business partnership support.
  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information.
  • Publish monthly and quarterly reports to executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to prepare journal entries and accruals as part of the monthly close process.
  • Partner with Marketing to build short-term and long-term Opex forecasts and drive solid operating cadence.
  • Oversee the creation and approval for purchase orders.
  • Help maintain and update designs in Tableau dashboards to track spending and provide live results.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support key business decisions.
