About The Position

The Finance Analyst – Upstream & Fluid Management is responsible for providing financial planning, reporting and business partnering support across Product Management, CUSP and Commercial Technology. This role supports forecast accuracy, close execution, margin and discount analysis, operational dashboards and reserve reviews, helping the business translate financial insight into commercial and operational decisions. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance, Upstream & Fluid Management and is part of the UFM Finance team supporting Product Management, CUSP and BU Commercial activities. This role is located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, month-end close, variance analysis or commercial finance within a manufacturing, life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology or industrial environment.
  • Advanced Excel capability and experience working with financial data, reporting tools or ERP/business intelligence systems to analyze, reconcile and communicate business performance.
  • Ability to convert complex operational and financial data into clear insight, commentary and recommendations for finance and business stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering across functions such as Product Management, Commercial Finance, Supply Planning, Controllership or Operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a product management, commercial technology, supply chain or hardware/equipment business environment.
  • Experience with inventory reserves, E&O, field actions, reclasses or margin/discount analytics.
  • Experience using or implementing AI-enabled analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly forecasting support for Product Management, CUSP and Commercial Technology budget, including forecast updates, scrap/E&O review, variance analysis and preparation of inputs for BU forecast reviews.
  • Support month-end close activities by refreshing actuals, reviewing postings, preparing variance commentary and partnering with stakeholders to resolve reclasses, accruals or unexpected cost movements.
  • Provide financial analysis for execution calls and business reviews, including backlog, sales, secured push-outs, pull-ins and net volume forecast assumptions.
  • Partner with Product Management, Commercial Finance, Controllership and Supply Planning on inventory, reserve and field action topics, including E&O, FMI, goodwill, installation and sample reclass analysis.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and process improvement across Product Management, CUSP and Commercial Technology, including average selling price analysis, cost centre changes, NPI revenue tracking and finance process standardisation.
