About The Position

The Finance Analyst I is an entry-level rotational role designed to build comprehensive technical depth across our complete operational finance and accounting ecosystem. Over a 2-year horizon, this role acts as an operational engine, taking on transactional workloads, mastering enterprise-grade systems like JD Edwards (JDE) and OneStream, and absorbing end-to-end data flows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong academic track record with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
  • Open to recent college graduates with zero professional experience, as well as candidates who possess up to 1–2 years of foundational experience via relevant finance internships, corporate business projects, or work within a fast-paced manufacturing company.
  • Strong foundational Microsoft Excel skills and a natural comfort analyzing datasets.
  • Prior exposure to ERP logic or database structures (such as Oracle or JDE) is a plus but not required.
  • Must exhibit a perpetual learner attitude, innate curiosity to ask "why" behind the numbers, and a self-starter mindset to work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills commensurate with the job tasks and position necessary to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers while providing exceptional quality of work and outstanding customer service. Ability to present information in a manner designed to educate or inform other team members and customers in one-on-one or group interactions as directed.
  • Ability to review, comprehend, interpret, process and evaluate effectively written work instructions and procedures written in English in conjunction with the performance of the essential functions and other assigned job duties.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills including ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a calm, rational and respectful demeanor and communication style in times of stress occasioned by work demands, tight timelines, heavy production expectations, unexpected quality control issues, and other work-related issues or concerns that may cause a heightened level of anxiety, frustration, anger, disappointment, confusion, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares key operational reports with analysis of key metrics. Present findings and make recommendations to Senior Leadership to meet key metrics.
  • Handle daily JDE cost item setups, enter product standard routings, and perform order entry processing.
  • Execute month-end close sequences, post standard booking entries, and clear validation errors to ensure local JDE ledger integrity matches corporate OneStream metadata requirements.
  • Extract weekly cost, inventory, and shop floor work order variance reports to flag data errors or margin leaks for senior review.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze manufacturing performance data for operational KPI dashboards, tracking metrics such as scrap, throughput, and First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Analyze monthly divisional P&L statements, track variances against annual operating plans, and support bank payment file governance.
  • Partner on cross-functional business initiatives by building dynamic financial models and data tracking sheets.
  • Assist in creating executive presentations and reporting financial close results directly to finance leadership.
  • Responsible for participating in continuous improvement activities for improved operations of the Finance Team and Manufacturing Teams. Be a key player in helping the manufacturing teams increase inventory turns, improve gross margin and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Problem-solves individually or as a part of a group as duties require. May lead such problem-solving activities.
  • Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
  • Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
  • Work safely and without injury.
  • Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • Performs other various duties as may be assigned.
