About The Position

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Finance Grants Management team as the Finance Analysis Specialist. The Finance Analysis Specialist is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial reports on various programs and to support budget analysis, profit and loss, and contract receivables reporting. Responsibilities include processing, reconciling, analyzing financial data that supports budgeting, forecasting, and contracts/grant billing. This position interfaces externally with contract funders and to ensure responsive reporting for optimal analysis and financial performance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test, Background Screening, Drug Test

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of senior specialists and management, prepare cost based billing and financial reporting for a portfolio of contracts and grants
  • Assist senior specialists and management with maintaining a thorough knowledge of all grant and contract financial and invoicing requirements and ensure that all grant accounting activities are congruent with such requirements
  • Reconcile grant accounts and resolve invoice discrepancies with other departments
  • Interface with funder and PATH program personnel to resolve any issues surrounding invoices, including disallowed expenses or compliance issues
  • Review and analyze grant related accounting entries to accurately charge costs to specific grants
  • Maintain a log of invoices prepared and track payments; may include Accounts Receivable entries and analysis
  • Follow up with funders to ensure timely collection of receivables and to review aged A/R with PATH Finance management
