About The Position

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking a Finance Administrator to join their growing team in Itasca, IL. This role supports the financial and administrative activities that help keep projects and operations running smoothly. The Finance Administrator will work closely with project teams and business leaders, assisting with reporting, documentation, financial tracking, and day-to-day coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is full-time and office-based in Westlake, TX. The team is highly active, collaborative, and frequently on the move, so the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with people.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of finance, accounting, administrative, or business support experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organization
  • Comfortable working with financial data, reports, invoices, and budgets
  • Ability to work professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and support the broader team where needed
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required with relevant experience
  • Experience with Concur, ERP systems, or other financial software is a plus
  • Work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, expense reports, and purchasing card transactions using Concur and other financial systems
  • Maintain accurate financial records, budget tracking, and project cost documentation
  • Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Support project teams with cost tracking, forecasting updates, and financial data organization
  • Coordinate vendor payments, purchase orders, and invoice approvals
  • Assist with monthly reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting-related activities
  • Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and document management
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams
  • Support office operations and special projects as needed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
