About The Position

As a Finance and Acquisition Specialist, you will support government R&D by providing full acquisition lifecycle management. This includes identifying funding needs, reviewing funding proposals, processing funding packages, and reporting on the financial health and activities of the organization. You will leverage your expertise to ensure accuracy and consistency in all funding packages, manage multiple priorities effectively, work with a wide variety of technical and project management staff, and apply knowledge of risk assessments and federal procurement/acquisition policies to ensure proper compliance. Working in a team environment, you will act as an advisor regarding financial reporting requirements, client specifications, and government regulations to streamline the acquisition process and maximize client resources.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • SIX (6) or more years' of experience in IC acquisition lifecycle framework and federal budget/spend plan management.
  • Experience with procurement lifecycle, from source selection activities through closeout.
  • Experience working in Government financial tools such as ALM and Cognos to initiate, track, process, and report on funding activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, Finance, or Economics.
  • DAWIA Level II or equivalent in Contracting or Program Management.
  • Prior IC acquisition support experience.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as needed.
