The Acquisitions Editor at MIT Press will strategically acquire and develop books for general readership, professional readers, and scholarly and academic audiences across science, education, and scholarship. This role involves managing a pipeline of projects, working with authors and peer reviewers to develop high-quality manuscripts, and overseeing a backlist of projects. The editor will serve as the primary point of contact for authors and will establish robust relationships with MIT faculty and wider networks of advisors and prospective authors. The position requires good judgment to promote the growth and continued success of the book portfolio.
