As the Finance & Accounting Intern, you will work closely with the finance & accounting team to maintain data integrity in our ERP (NetSuite), participate in monthly/annual close processes, maintain SOPs, and perform financial analysis. This intern role is centered around supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, helping the business make data empowered decisions and being the front-line point of contact for our suppliers.

Requirements

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business Administration (Accounting or Finance major preferred) or similar program.
  • Working towards all necessary prerequisites for admission into the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA), Professional Education Program (PEP).
  • Very high attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communicator: oral, written, interpersonal
  • A growth mindset, self-motivated and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb Microsoft Office skills; specifically Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
  • Available for a full-time internship beginning September 2026 for at least 8 months.
  • Work out of our new Toronto office (24 Ward Street) at least 4 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous accounting related office experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes, assisting with preparation of journal entries, maintenance of proper supporting documentation. and the preparation of financial statements, reports and variance analysis.
  • Perform credit card and bank reconciliations, reviewing for policy compliance.
  • Maintain finance procedures and related process documents.
  • Contribute to a team effort and undertakes other special projects as requested.
