About The Position
Provides strategic leadership and oversight of financial operations for the Houston Childcare Project. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while safeguarding fiscal integrity, forecasting budgets, and guiding decision-making to maximize program impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in non-profit or government-funded programs.
- Expertise in GAAP, cost allocation, and grants management.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Oversee accounting, payroll, and procurement functions.
- Monitor grant and contract compliance with funder regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for leadership and funders.
- Advise senior leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and strategies.
