About The Position

We are seeking a Finance Accountant to join our Australia Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role plays an important part in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and supporting the organization's month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements. While the role includes limited transactional responsibilities, its primary focus is on financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to broaden their technical experience, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute to a high-performing finance team. This position is based out of our Perth office with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • CA/CPA qualified, or in the final stages of completing CA/CPA qualification
  • Approximately 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and controls
  • Experience with large ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Practical understanding of accounting standards and financial controls
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work autonomously or collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end close requirements, including accruals, journals and reconciliations
  • Prepare various monthly financial reports
  • Manage corporate vendor accounts and Flexi-purchase credit card system
  • Assist with preparation of the annual statutory accounts and quarterly reporting for the group
  • Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and SOX controls.
  • Assist with financial analysis, audit requests and regulatory reporting requirements.
