This Finaler position is primarily responsible for installing components onto products in the final department. The role involves receiving and checking priority lists, locating and compiling parts, assembling panel boxes, installing power packs, panel boxes, and hydraulic cylinders, and assembling wires for motors, solenoids, pressure, and limit switches for compactors. The Finaler will also operate welding equipment, visually observe welds and component cutting for quality, prepare daily production tally sheets, and adhere to all safety regulations. This role requires programming PLCs using a hand-held programmer, working with new board designs and computers, and utilizing the AS-400 computer system to look up prints and schematics. Attendance and potential overtime are essential to meet departmental goals. The Finaler will also assist with Cleaner's duties, have thorough knowledge of the Power Pack Assembler job to serve as backup, drive company vehicles for parts pickup and field service, operate a forklift, cut and crimp hydraulic hoses, and maintain a clean work area. A willingness to be trained and assist in running the department in the absence of lead personnel is also expected. Other various duties may be assigned.
