About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking reliable contractor teams for its Final Mile Service Provider Network to meet high customer demand for basketball hoop delivery/installation and fitness equipment delivery/assembly. Opportunities also exist in other final-mile categories such as furniture, home goods, and seasonal items. Contractors can earn between $40,000-$100,000+ annually, with weekly settlements. The network is experiencing high demand for basketball hoop installations, fitness equipment assembly, and fitness equipment repair. Contractors have the flexibility to accept only the jobs that match their team's skills, equipment, and AIT requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Be physically able and skilled to deliver and assemble products according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Be tech-savvy to use mobile applications for completing orders.
- Provide and maintain the necessary tools and vehicle(s) for completing orders.
- Possess an EIN.
- Comply with vehicle, registration, and insurance requirements set forth by AIT.
- Pass background checks and drug screens for all owners, drivers, and helpers.
Responsibilities
- Operate as a two-person contractor team (Driver + Helper) for most assignments.
- Own or lease a pickup truck, van, sprinter, or small box truck (not required for assembly-only and repair work).
- Ensure EIN and DOT compliance (MC# required for some interstate work).
- Maintain a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that meets AIT requirements.
- Accept jobs that match your team's skills, equipment, and AIT requirements.
- Perform Assembly Only services (one-person work) by assembling products on-site at the customer's home.
- Perform Delivery and Assembly services (two-person team) by picking up products from local retailers, delivering them to the customer's home, and assembling them to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform Repair services (one-person work) by arriving at the customer's home and repairing products according to manufacturer instructions using manufacturer-provided parts.
- Service various products including Basketball Hoops (Portable & In-Ground), Fitness Equipment (Treadmills, Ellipticals, and Similar), Ready-to-Assemble Furniture and Home Goods, and Backyard Products (Playsets, Pergolas, Gazebos, Grills, Patio Sets, and Similar).
