About The Position

The Mechanical Final Assembler is responsible for performing a wide range of assembly operations involving mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with established work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. All duties are performed in compliance with Manufacturing Department procedures, ISO 9001 requirements, and company policies. Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 Year experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and 5S workplace organization practices.
  • Experience using torque tools, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical assembly processes and testing procedures.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures, and verbal directions.
  • Assemble, position, align, and secure components and subassemblies according to engineering requirements and work instructions.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment to perform assembly operations.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and verify assembled products meet quality and workmanship standards.
  • Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Support inventory control activities, material handling, stocking, packaging, and shipping preparation as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals and schedules.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain workstations, tools, and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
