About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst for its New York, NY location. Duties: Conduct comprehensive validation of data processes, systems and data profiling assessments to identify data quality issues and potential vulnerabilities. Recommend data risk mitigation strategies. Execute sustainability and closure reviews to challenge the root cause and adequacy of one-time remediation, and key controls for risk reduction and continuous monitoring. Review design of new or enhanced controls, one-time remediation, sustainability, operating effectiveness, and closure package. Assess data element lineage from reporting endpoint to origination source. Incorporate best practices in data quality management and comply with BCBS 239 Principles for effective risk data aggregation and optimal data quality. Prepare quality control assessment documentation according to central Program Management Office standards for check, challenge and future Internal Audit validation. Liaise with the first line of defense and collaborate with Internal Audit and Compliance to review and strengthen the control environment, improve current processes, and provide independent checks. Focus on ongoing control improvements in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner by facilitating data strategy implementation, assessing regulatory changes, aligning data initiatives with broader data governance policies and standards, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the data governance framework. Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work, while identifying thematic trends regarding root causes, potential remediations, and opportunities to drive greater consistency of process and execution across workstreams. Execute procedures and key controls to assess the achievement of sustainability, i.e., whether new and amended key controls have been implemented effectively and are performing as designed. Review design of new or enhanced controls, sustainability, operating effectiveness to strengthen the control environment. Improve current processes and prepare quality control risk documentation to support sustainable risk reduction. Escalate emerging risks and concerns to the responsible owners throughout the milestone lifecycle. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry.
  • Three (3) years of experience must include: Conducting comprehensive validation on data processes and systems, and data profiling assessments to identify data quality issues and potential vulnerabilities, and recommending data risk mitigation strategies; Assessing data elements lineage from reporting endpoint to origination source, incorporating best practices in data quality management and compliance with BCBS 239 Principles for effective risk data aggregation and optimal data quality; Reviewing design of new or enhanced controls, one-time remediation, sustainability & operating effectiveness, to prepare quality control assessment documentation and reporting on key risk areas; Facilitating data strategy implementation and assessing regulatory changes to align data initiatives with broader data governance policies and standards and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of data governance framework; Liaising with the first line of defense and collaborating with Internal Audit and Compliance to review and strengthen the control environment, improve current processes, and provide independent checks; and Spotting thematic trends and signals across the program to help identify root cause and potential remediations to drive greater consistency of process and execution of each workstream.
