About The Position

BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions is seeking a Filtration Technician to join their Fort McMurray Service team. This full-time, year-round position supports plant sites in the Fort McMurray area, focusing on changing HVAC unit air filters for oil sands customers. The role is crucial in ensuring clean indoor air for clients, protecting their processes and keeping businesses running. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (50 hours per week), with overtime paid after 40 hours. Requirements

1+ years of labour experience
Mechanical knowledge and skills in previous roles.
Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol tests.
Must maintain a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year Driver’s Abstract and three years of insured driving history.
Must be clean shaven to complete respirator fit testing upon hire.

Experience at Syncrude site is an asset.
CSO or BSO certification.
H2S Awareness certification.
Silica Awareness certification.
OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness certification.
Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect and change air filters in HVAC units.
Perform associated repairs and housekeeping duties to ensure customers continuously have clean indoor air.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
Conduct hazard assessments.
Document any incidents or near misses.
Collaborate with the Service team to continually build knowledge about air quality performance.
Provide ways to improve processes.
