About The Position

Reporting to the R&D Team Leader, the role of the laboratory technician is to support the R&D team in prototype formulation, preparation, and characterization, as well as the evaluation and testing of raw materials, prototypes, and production samples. This role also involves document management, research and modification of computer data, supporting sample requests and shipping for the Commercial (sales) and Product Strategy Management teams, managing laboratory raw materials for prototype production, and overseeing consumables, labware, and laboratory equipment. Additionally, the technician will support quality control and operations teams and ensure adherence to the company's quality system policies (HACCP / SQF).

Requirements

• College degree in food sciences (chemistry or other)
• Good knowledge of English (spoken/written)
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, laboratory standards
• Computer skills (Windows Office applications; knowledge of SAP is an asset)

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in the food or chemical industry is an asset
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices in the food industry is an asset

Responsibilities
