This role is for a Filling Operator on the Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00-23:00) at Baxter's Alliston facility. Requirements

  • Successful completion of High School diploma or GED (Proof will be requested).
  • Must pass an ergonomic assessment to ensure the ability to perform bonafide essential job duties.
  • Experience doing repetitive tasks.
  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience in the food or manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting with a focus on quality assurance and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Visual inspection of IV bag assembly.
  • Filling IV solution in various bag sizes.
  • Placing bags into protective over-wrap.
  • Loading bags onto sterilizer trays.
  • Using scales to weigh filled bags at regular intervals to ensure proper fill volume.
  • Visually inspecting each filled bag assembly for proper fill volume, air volume, code number, expiration date, lot number, and other quality characteristics.
  • Picking up filled bag assemblies from the conveyor and positioning them in the over-wrapper.
  • Loading over-wrapped bags into the sealing machine.
  • Loading sealed over-wrapped assemblies onto sterilizer trucks, ensuring proper sample count and positioning.
  • Performing necessary inspections, including quality checks throughout each step of the process.
  • Documenting the count of rejects.
  • Reworking bags when necessary.
  • Learning, understanding, and applying quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Notifying the supervisor and taking appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Sustaining a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
