About The Position

The Filling Machine Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the machine. The operator will oversee and ensure that the jars are filled properly. The Filling operator will perform machine and line shut down. You will monitor the operation of the filling machine. You will verify correct fill based on routine performance of weight checks. This is an entry level opportunity; you will receive on the job training to succeed in this role. You will receive an hourly pay rate $19.52/hour plus $0.25/hour shift premium if applicable.

Requirements

Ability to operate the Filling Machine equipment.
Ability to verify correct fill based on routine performance of weight checks.
Ability to administer lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ability to complete documentation observing Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.
Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.

Responsibilities

Follow standard work procedures.
Operate the Filling Machine equipment.
Maintain a steady stock flow to the line.
Verify stock quality.
React to glass breakage following plant procedures and safety rules.
Administer lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.
Adapt to changing situations.
Work with Quality department, Production and Team Leaders.
Train employees.
Complete documentation observing Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.
Read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
