About The Position

This is a fulltime day shift position working on a consistent 6:45 am - 7:00 pm rotating schedule. Pay starts at $24.40 an hour. This role involves operating and monitoring production filler equipment to ensure food safety, product quality, and conformity to customer standards and specifications. The position requires safely and efficiently setting up, operating, and cleaning filler machines/equipment, and proficiency in Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) and/or Clean-in-Place (CIP) of assigned filler machines. Responsibilities also include performing basic clean, inspect, and lube functions, including basic Preventative Maintenance (PMs), and actively participating in startup, troubleshooting, adjustment, stop/reset, and shutdown of line equipment, including clearing jams and reporting malfunctions. The role also involves performing changeovers and line clears, accurately setting up next item's packaging and coding, and reporting out-of-standard/specification results to the Quality Department and Supervisor. Completing handwritten instructions and on-line documentation, including Quality and Critical Control Point (CCP) checks, accurately and at the required frequencies is essential. Maintaining accurate and detailed work logs and inventory records, monitoring and reviewing inventory and production levels for efficiency, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area are also key duties. The position requires active participation in shift exchanges and work team meetings, consistently meeting production needs and goals while minimizing product shrink and downtime, and reporting unsafe conditions or compliance issues. Identifying Critical Control Points (CCP) is also a responsibility. The role requires understanding and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, and the ability to work with dairy and nut products, as well as other related ingredients and allergens.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Consistently meet production needs and goals while making efforts to minimize product shrink and downtime.
Report unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
Identify Critical Control Points (CCP).
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
Support safety policies and programs.
