Requirements

  • Must be alert, aware and multi-tasked
  • Particular in the cleaning of equipment
  • Must be accurate at recording records
  • Operate a basic scale efficiently and accurately
  • Basic math skills
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequent to Continuous walking
  • Minimal sitting
  • Frequent to continuous lifting of 18 ½ lbs. lid sleeves (average of 303 sleeves a shift)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Occasional pushing and pulling
  • Frequent manual dexterity
  • Continuous operation of Filler, Closing Machine, Slicer
  • Multi-tasked Individual
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Northumberland, PA 17857 reliably before starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to operate the filler lines, keeping product within set specifications.
  • Must be able to operate the closing machine, feed lids, and perform simple maintenance on the line.
  • Must be able to clean the line properly, following all sanitation & safety procedures.
  • Must be able to follow all GMP’s associated with this position.
  • Will perform other jobs as requested by the supervisor.
  • Record all documentation accurately, neatly, & timely.
  • Operate efficiency systems on all can filler lines.
  • Check can seams and codes on a regular basis.
  • Account for any down-time.
  • Must know & understand all Critical Control Points for this position.
  • Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by actions, communicating and helping co-workers.
  • Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.
