Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Frequent lifting of material up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull materials in excess of 200 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk and bend.
  • Manual dexterity with ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Basic mathematic and reading skills.
  • Regularly required to talk, hear and see.
  • Able to read and write English fluently.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs often.
  • Able to work in both hot/humid (in excess of 110 degrees F) and cold (below -20 degrees F) environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work the production schedule, control Filler speeds and the flow of the production plant.
  • Monitor and operate X-ray machine and maintain fill operations in accordance with HACCP/SQF/SGFM programs and procedures.
  • Change out Jar Inverter to specific Jar being used.
  • Operate appropriate equipment using the touch screen.
  • Record container weight, metal detector, fill temps, container counts, and downtime.
  • Perform equipment set up including PC table settings, filler change parts/filler height/volume, temperature chart, metal detector set up, bottle sanitizer and Carleton twist.
  • Conduct allergen cleans in accordance with SQF/HACCP/sanitizing procedures.
  • Verify jar quality and remove and report any jar defects.
  • Communicate constantly with proper personnel about production operations.
  • Work under pressure while multi-tasking.
  • Observe and report filler temperatures at all times.
  • Clean filler parts before placing back in COP room during changeovers.
  • Build a team environment within the immediate work area and throughout the SGFM organization.
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures required by SGFM/Quality/SQF/GMP’s/OSHA regulations/Preventative Controls.
  • Participate in the SGFM training program which includes training all employees in your immediate work area.
  • Monitor and operate the X-ray machine if needed.
  • Perform all other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor.
