About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining filler equipment, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and sanitation policies. The position involves monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, performing changeovers, and assisting in process improvement initiatives within the food and beverage industry.

Requirements

One or two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
Experience analyzing and troubleshooting process data and equipment performance.
Data to improve quality and throughput.
Basic math competency required to perform calculations.
Minimum age: 18
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean, set up, operate, and monitor filler equipment.
Complete all required quality checks and documentation.
Collect the required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of the product.
Make adjustments to filler timing and filling; check vat as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
Perform filler equipment and filler line changeovers for the next run safely.
Work with wrapper operations; watch for jams and effectively thread product wrap.
Complete the cleaning checklist once the line has completed the run.
Follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures and report any deficiencies.
Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Adhere to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Other duties as assigned by management team.
