About The Position

The primary purpose of the FWPO III is to ensure that all processes are maintained per the standards while winding a mandrel. This area of work is the most crucial in terms of the critical process requirements, overall quality of the module and total output of the production process. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in Health and Safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills an asset

Responsibilities

  • Complete knowledge of the wet-out box operations as per operational work instruction
  • The ability to assist in trouble shooting the Filament Winding Process
  • Perform a wet-out box, front bar assembly and rear roving comb change once a week or as needed
  • Perform Wet-Out box "stringing" of roving's
  • Perform tension tests after every wet-out box change
  • Responsible for cleaning, care and maintaining the winding room tools and equipment throughout the shift
  • Responsible for Winding-Room cleanliness and to maintain a Safe and Clean work environment.
  • Inspect and evaluate all modules during a wind cycle to ensure quality and process standards are being met and any manufacturing defects are responded to
  • Ensure the winding room is production ready for the next shift
  • Assist Quality Assurance by providing required Cup Tests at the beginning of each shift.
  • Adhere to all QC Alerts, changes to the process and their issues
  • Adhere to all Safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Report all equipment related issues to the Production Supervisor
  • Ensure proper inventory of materials to perform the job
  • Assist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production process
  • Assist in training and cross training of production team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Comply with all Company Safety rules, Provincial and Federal Rules and Regulations
  • All other duties as assigned including to be Cross Trained in other Production related positions
