About The Position

Hoplite Group is seeking a part-time Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government building capacity effort with a partner nation. This role focuses on combat aviation operations, operational analysis, training, and sustainment planning. The position involves remote support from CONUS and forward engagements OCONUS. The level of effort varies, with approximately 30-50 hours per month for non-travel months and 80-90 hours per month for travel months. Initial travel is anticipated in July 2026. The objective is to support combat aviation capability development through operational analysis, planning, training, and sustainment advisory support.

Requirements

  • Retired O-6 with experience commanding at the Squadron, Group, or Wing level.
  • Experience as an F-16, F-18, or F-35 pilot.
  • Understanding of U.S. defense planning and strategy development.
  • Experience with operational analysis, readiness reporting, and doctrine or CONOPS development.
  • Experience supporting combat aircraft operations planning and strategy development.
  • Experience evaluating operational plans and operational risk.
  • Graduate of SAASS, SAMS, SAW, or similar advanced military planning program.
  • Experience supporting aviation capability development or institutional capacity-building efforts.
  • Active US Secret Security clearance.
