About The Position

Boeing Aerospace Operations is seeking a Fighter/Attack Aircrew Training SME (Subject Matter Expert) to support Boeing Global Services (BGS) in Hazelwood, MO. This role involves shaping the future of air combat training by leveraging expertise as a seasoned fighter pilot/WSO to develop cutting-edge training solutions for high-performance 5th generation fighter aircraft, including platforms like the F-15. The position focuses on pioneering the next generation of aircrew training and simulators that replicate real-world combat environments with precision. Collaboration with engineers and test teams is key to validating and enhancing these systems. The role requires deep operational knowledge to shape training programs that impact national defense, air dominance, and warfighter readiness. Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Pilot/WSO, Fighter/Attack with knowledge of 4th and/or 5th generation high-performance fighter aircraft
  • Demonstrated expertise in pilot training, tactics development, and evaluation of training effectiveness
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple functional areas and diverse personnel
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties and related responsibilities as assigned to support Boeing's training mission
  • Travel is expected based on contractual requirements up to 10%-50% of the time (Domestic/International)
  • Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) process.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience combined with specialized training and professional experience aligned with the assignment
  • Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of complex aircrew training solutions and courseware development
  • Flight Instruction Experience: Experience as an Instructor pilot or Instructor Weapons Systems Officer in a fighter platform
  • Fighter Formal Training Unit (FTU) Instructor or Weapons School graduate
  • AETC experience and SUBT/SUNT or IFF instructor
  • Mission Planning Expertise: Experience with mission planning/employment of HARM, HARPOON, JSOW, JASSM weapons
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of crew resource management, flight planning, and industry regulations, along with advanced pilot aviation skills
  • Course Development: Experience in developing comprehensive training materials, including syllabus development, lesson plans and multimedia resources

Responsibilities

  • A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in fighter/attack pilot training and tactics development, focusing on the F-15 platform
  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative technical learning solutions tailored for aircrew training requirements
  • Develop and maintain courseware and training content aligned with complex aircrew learning objectives and customer needs
  • Instruct advanced pilot training courses and evaluate program effectiveness using customer feedback and operational data
  • Develop CONOPS/Mission Assurance plan and deliver pilot simulator verification/test using Boeing Full Mission Simulators (FMS)
  • Operate the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) to execute approved training syllabi
  • Support military pilots in maintaining qualification levels through upgrade and tactics training within Boeing's training systems
  • Implement and support Boeing initiatives, programs, and policies to maintain training excellence and compliance
  • Adhere to site security and access control procedures in accordance with Boeing and customer requirements
  • Ensure proper handling and sanitization of classified media and training materials in compliance with Boeing and customer security protocols
  • Collaborate closely with Boeing training teams and customer representatives at dedicated training sites to meet training and continuation training objectives
  • Maintain appropriate security clearances as required by Boeing and customer programs
