Position Overview: We are currently seeking a determined Field Training Specialist who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity. The Field Training Specialist is responsible for delivering hands-on training, coaching, and development support to Field Technicians to ensure consistent execution of installation, service, and customer experience standards. This role bridges the gap between classroom training and real-world application, reinforcing best practices, improving technician performance, and supporting new program rollouts across Field Operations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in field service (alarm/security systems preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in installation, troubleshooting, and customer engagement
  • Prior training, coaching, or mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel within assigned regions
  • Proficiency with field tools, mobile applications, and reporting platforms

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-field training sessions for new hires (when able) and tenured technicians
  • Provide side-by-side ride-alongs to reinforce technical skills and customer interaction standards
  • Deliver training on alarm systems, home automation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols
  • Support rollout of new products, tools, and operational processes
  • Ensure technicians are trained and compliant with updated SOPs and company standards
  • Track progress and provide updates to leadership on technician readiness and improvement
  • Identify skill gaps based on field observations, QA results, and performance data
  • Develop targeted coaching plans to improve technician effectiveness

  • Work closely with Field Operations Management & Operations Leadership
  • Align on training priorities, workforce readiness, and field performance trends
  • Support cross-functional initiatives impacting technician workflows
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and performance improvements
  • Provide feedback to Training and Program teams on content effectiveness and field applicability
  • Recommend enhancements to SOPs, training materials, and job aids based on field insights
