About The Position

Dynalectric Arizona offers a comprehensive range of electrical solutions, spanning planning, construction, installation, and integration of advanced electrical, controls, and telecommunications systems. We are seeking talented, motivated electrical and construction professionals to join our team. The AZ Field Training Facilitator will train craft labor in the electrical industry, identify skills needing development, and educate the next generation of electricians.

Requirements

  • Strong field supervisory experience, minimum 5 years General Foreman or higher, or 5 years of electrical training experience.
  • Understanding of training processes and learning methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and their practical application.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft 365 software suite, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee safety.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments in the company.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Reliable Self Starter.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Preferred knowledge of IBEW Local 640 processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Dynalectric HR, Division Managers, and Field Operations Superintendent to ensure craft labor onboarding and training is consistent with company needs and unified in message & execution.
  • Perform field leadership onboarding and facilitate the CW Boot Camp evaluation (a 2-day evaluation of all CWs before jobsite dispatch based on punctuality, coachability, safety mindedness, mechanical aptitude, ability to follow written instructions, and attitude).
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Superintendent on training dates and candidate numbers.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Superintendent & Field Supervisors to understand current and upcoming project staffing levels and required training.
  • Conduct weekly coordination with Field Operations Superintendent and Field Supervisors to understand current and future training needs.
  • View project schedules, conduct site visits, and attend pre-con meetings to identify special training requirements per project.
  • Promote Dynalectric safety culture and work with the Area Safety Manager to ensure company safety goals are supported.
  • Hold monthly meetings with Area Safety Manager(s) to identify safety training needs.
  • Promote Dynalectric culture of learning by collaborating with Field Operations Superintendent regarding site visits.
  • Be accessible to field personnel for consultation, questions, and continued education.
  • Walk project sites to identify craft training needs.
  • Assist in the deployment of companywide initiatives affecting craft labor, coordinating with Arizona Division Manager and Field Operations Superintendent.
  • Facilitate Dynalectric Field Supervision training in the main office or onsite.
  • Assist Training Coordinator in gathering paper feedback surveys post-training for entry into the training database.
  • Assist in the union new hire interview process to identify qualified individuals.
  • Identify basic levels of competency and recommend training programs for individual new hires.
  • Be involved with NHO (New Hire Orientation) and review remarks left by new hires in new hire packets.
  • Work with Field Operations Superintendent to identify new hires' roles and responsibilities on project sites.
  • Help develop training courses specific to hands-on skills, including underground construction, temp power, conduit bending, branch wiring, lighting, devices, fire alarm, and best-known trade methods.
  • Provide direction and coordinate logistics for tools and training equipment necessary for hands-on learning.
  • Incorporate space necessary to ensure an appropriate learning environment.
  • Book training spaces in the office or onsite as needed.
  • Support craft workers' understanding of the NFPA 70 (NEC) when necessary.
  • Assist in facilitating training of basic software use and company processes as required for craft workers' roles and responsibilities.
  • Work with Field Operations Superintendent to develop goals and future initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Division Manager to ensure message and content align with company objectives.
  • Be aware of company goals and methods for communicating them to the field.
  • Identify what is working and what is not, adjusting tactics as necessary.
  • Work with other departments as needed to achieve goals.
