About The Position

The Field Development Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting world-class training programs that enhance the technical skills, safety performance, and operational effectiveness of field personnel. This 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off rotational position plays a key role in developing job-specific training that reinforces Precision Drilling’s strong safety culture, operational excellence, and commitment to employee development. Requirements

• Field experience with a proven safety record
• Drilling experience (Driller level preferred)
• Alpha A&N knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of training experience preferred
• Demonstrated coaching and mentoring capabilities
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate others and lead by example

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new employee onboarding and deliver engaging, job-specific training programs for field personnel at all levels
• Operate and support rig training equipment while reinforcing safe work practices, Key Beliefs, and Life Saving Actions
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party training providers to continuously improve learning programs and training effectiveness
• Serve as a coach, mentor, and problem solver for field employees, supporting their development and operational success
• Support field and shop locations across North America, including travel of up to 50%, while maintaining effective learning environments and training activities
