Field Therapist

Seeds Wilderness TherapyMontrose, CO
Onsite

About The Position

Seeds Wilderness Way (Seeds) works with families with troubled teens, taking them on an intensive 40-day experience. This process involves Retreat, Restore, Revive, where students are invited to retreat to the mountains with Jesus, find heart restoration with Jesus, and go home to revive friends and neighbors with the gospel. Seeds combines best practices in therapy with the teachings of Jesus and solid discipleship. In this role, the Field Therapist interacts directly with students aged 14-18 and their families, and assists in communicating with continuing programs and therapists. Seeds aims to support healthy relationship building, increase self-efficacy, strengthen self-determination, and provide lifelong tools for students and families. This is a seasonal position, with significant time commitment during the summer months. Therapists are in the field on Thursdays and Fridays, conducting 1-on-1 therapy, group therapy, or running experiential learning initiatives. Mondays through Wednesdays are reserved for sessions with parents and note-taking. There may be opportunities to conduct private practice therapy sessions. Additional work may be available in off-seasons for other programming such as youth pastor or parent seminars, curriculum development, recruiting/marketing, and conference engagements. The Field Therapist reports directly to the Clinical Director, Executive Director, and Director of Operations. The role encompasses a variety of duties.
